Dale grew up in Cambridge, Ontario. She was one of only 18 students accepted into the Fine Art Program at Mount Allison University in 1972. She studied there for a year
before marrying and moving to Alberta. From 1974 to 1985 Dale was active in evening workshops learning printmaking at the Alberta College of Art.
Dale currently belongs to three local art groups; the Foothills Art Club , the Beaupre Artists Guild and the Wildcat Artists where she exhibits regularly in exhibitions and sales.
Recently Dale’s art has been focused on painting with acrylic paints and inks. Some of her works employ traditional paint techniques while others delve into the diversity of effects that can be created using modern acrylic mediums and mixed media. The creative magic that occurs through experimentation with these materials is used as a foundation for both representational and more abstract compositions.
“For me creating art is an ever changing and sometimes inexplicable process. In each new piece I strive to incorporate a degree of spontaneity that cannot be replicated. I hope always to feel that I am in a relative stage of infancy in terms of learning the limitless techniques of art and also in rendering the varied visions that inspire me. The most valuable aspect of my involvement with art is the journey of learning, interacting and creating with other artists.”
“Of course; it is a wonderful bonus if you should like some of my creations and I would enjoy hearing from you through the Wildcat Artist’s email account.”
