Brenda Driscoll
Brenda lives on a small ranch in the foothills west of Calgary.
Living in the natural environment comprised of native grasslands, boreal forests, wetlands and the Ghost River that carves its way through the valley, she seeks to paint "the spirit of the place".
We are all explorers on a journey through a magnificent landscape.
Working in oils, acrylic, mixed media and pastel, her paintings are personal statements that explore the relationship between nature and humanity.
The image of the horse appears frequently in the paintings, sometimes purely because of its beauty, and sometimes as a symbol of strength, sensitivity, vulnerability, spirit and freedom.
Brenda has had the opportunity to work with some outstanding teachers and mentors and enjoys the enthusiasm and fun of painting with like-minded artists.
